Our team of experts are about to commence a six month research project into rapid detection methods. Working across a number of different sites we will be determining the prevalence of Legionella bacteria in cooling tower samples in the UK, using these new methods of rapid detection.

Trial sites have been agreed to assess the application of a number of different methods. The research will be conducted across a mix of industrial and municipal buildings, as it is important the methods are tested on a range of different sites to ensure a wide range of results for analysis.

Following this initial research the results will be analysed and trends identified. This research project is vital in ensuring we can assess the suitability of these different methods of rapid detection for this purpose.
